K E Garland tirelessly wants to increase the world's empathy through her creative nonfiction writing. She is co-author of the award-winning, all-women’s anthology, All the Women in My Family Sing. She was also a finalist for the 2017 Still I Rise Grant for Black Women Writers and an award-winning writer for unpublished Creative Nonfiction (Florida Writers Association, 2016).
